Tony Robbins Explains Why Americans Struggle to Move Past What They Lost Tony Robbins explains that suffering often begins when people believe they have lost something important or that a setback means they will have less in the future. Losing a job watching a business fail going through a divorce or seeing years of savings disappear can quickly turn into the belief that life will never be good again. He teaches that the most dangerous part comes when a painful moment becomes a permanent prediction. Someone gets laid off and believes their career will never recover. A marriage ends and they decide they will never find love again. A financial setback happens and they become convinced they will never rebuild what they lost. Tony explains that repeating these stories over and over can eventually turn them into beliefs. The situation may be temporary but the mind begins treating it like a permanent future. What started as losing something becomes having less and eventually turns into believing things will never get better. His message is that suffering grows when people remain consumed by what happened to them and everything they believe was taken away. Recognizing the pattern of loss less and never can help people see when one difficult chapter is beginning to control the story they tell themselves about the rest of their lives.
