@herearethethings: Myofascial release needs to be covered by insurance and a bare minimum part of an Ehlers-Danlos patient’s basic care. It’s that helpful! #myofascialrelease #fascia #ehlersdanlos #chronicpain #hypermobility
Idk if you know about Ashley Black, but she has patten tools for Fascia Release and wrote a book about the intricate workings of fascia. Its all connected together thats why you felt the release in your shoulder Area. I have the tools and its the only release I get is when using them.

I've experienced this a few times in my life but unfortunately the therapists live in different states than me 🫠 Need to find one closer because it really is the most magical and helpful therapy for me and my hEDS

I’m pursuing craniosacral therapy, and from my understanding, it sounds so so similar. What’s the difference?

sounds very similar to Bowen Massage. Healed my rotator cuff in 3 session where the PT I had made it worse (overstretching not enough strengthening etc)

My massage therapist uses a MOVEABLE cup on my back and neck and I swear it helps SOOOO much! instant pain relief And it somehow allows her to get in there and get the knots out of my muscles easier

my PT 20 years ago did this on my knee. she explained it like the fitted sheet and flat sheet are rumpled, and loosening it allows it to lay back down smooth

Thank you for that sinus analogy! I get that feeling between my neck and shoulders and sometimes near my collar bones. Previously I would say like a toothache, the dull pressure kind not the sharp shooting kind.

Massage instructor here. I would say find someone who specializes in MFR, try a few, the work varies so much, find the LMT that meets your needs specifically

I'm crying. Vaginal delivery of a 10lb baby here as well, connective tissue disorder, pots etc.
List of dxs, but most recently myofacial pain syndrome via Mayo and starting PT ASAP. Same head, neck thoracic area problems as you describe.
Where are you/this physical therapist / massage therapist located?
I want to feel all of this that you have described SO bad.

It almost sounds like Reiki. I haven’t had it done myself, but a friend does it and what you described sounds a lot like it. Interesting.
