Yeah so autism doesn’t mean ‘let them do what they want’. You should’ve said no to the food, in the first place. But anyway, afterwards you should’ve told him ‘either you sit down and eat this food without any breaks or interruptions, or I’m gonna sssume that you’re done eating, and remove it’.

From a fellow autistic my parents didn’t get up to feed us and we survived, I mean I did sudoku or math until 4am but like we were fine you need boundaries and routine for them not to cave at their every need

God these comments would hate to know that my father would wake up at 2am to make me dinner after work and let me cry. I’m also autistic and hated my job because my manager was really bad. (She ended up getting fired)

My daughter use to do this but now I only will let her have some pretzels and I have mini fridge upstairs that I keep some cut up fruits in . 😂 Game changer she has her little snack and goes back to sleep.
