@ceo.maye8: #A major financial event tied to Elon Musk’s SpaceX is happening today, September 9: up to 319 million SpaceX Class A shares have become eligible for trading under the company’s staggered post-IPO lock-up schedule. At yesterday’s closing price of $153.47, that stock would be worth roughly $49 billion. The important detail is that this does not mean $49 billion of shares will necessarily hit the market. The shares are eligible to be sold, but their owners can choose to keep them. Another 59.1 million affiliate shares become eligible tomorrow, while additional releases are scheduled later this month and in October. And there is a crucial Musk angle: Musk’s own SpaceX holdings are not part of today’s release. The prospectus lists him with roughly 849.5 million Class A and 5.57 billion Class B shares after the IPO. The event matters because SpaceX went public with an unusually small amount of stock available for public trading. As more locked-up shares become tradable, the supply of SpaceX stock could increase substantially , potentially creating pressure on the share price even if the company's underlying business hasn't changed. #ElonMusk #SpaceX #SPCX #StockMarket
