@johnhopebryant_: Racism is real—but race isn’t the only issue. We also have to talk about class. History shows us how race and class have been used to divide people who might otherwise recognize their shared interests. And if we’re going to move forward, we have to understand that history without letting emotion keep us from learning from it. I believe this is our time—the Third Reconstruction. Demographics are destiny. America cannot remain the strongest economy in the world over the next 25 years unless Black and Brown communities succeed. It’s not just the right thing to do—it’s an economic necessity. This is about healing, opportunity, ownership and making capitalism work for everybody.
