It did happen so fast I couldn’t process it all that day, I still have a hard time process it and I’m 42 years old. I watch the second plane hit the tower. I was a sophomore in high school. I’ve been numb all day. My rainbow baby was supposed to be born on the 10 years anniversary of 911. He turns 15 tomorrow. Thank you for saying this my favorite creator

I think was only over fast if you weren’t living in NYC especially Manhattan. I get that the buildings were down but in NYC it was just beginning. National guard was repelling out of helicopters on 5th Avenue that afternoon, all bridges and tunnels were shut for two days, trapping everybody on Manhattan. There was smoke and dust everywhere in lower Manhattan for weeks. The whole city smelled like burning metal for at least six months. The anthrax letter attacks on MYc started literally a week after 9/11. The missing person posters were all over the place for at least six months. Almost all the firefighters at my local station died and I and many others put flowers and candles there all the time because we had to walk by it literally every day to get to and from our subway stop.

I saw the second plane hit while I was getting ready for class. By the time I went to history class, the towers were down. Somehow the towers crumbling down was not something I could fully comprehend at that time.

I was walking my dog when I heard the first plane. By the time I walked the block back to my apartment., my doorman told me a plane hit the trade center. I took the elevator up to the second floor and moments later I saw the second plane hit on my television. I threw on clothes and walked down to my office because I heard the subways had been shut down and we had college interns who just started that week who would’ve been stranded. The walk took 20 minutes. Moments after I arrived, the first tower fell. I was standing 10 blocks away watching it all come down. Everything happens so fast.

It was a total of 1 hr and 42 minutes. From when the first plane hit north tower, than the south tower hit, pentagon hit, second town fall, flight 93 crashes, and then north tower falls. Started at 8:46am and ended at 10:28am.

My daughter was doing study abroad in London. I was fine, not fine. I was crying, but I knew she was safe. Then I don't know what channel it was cause I was flipping so I wonder if this is coordinated Chris Europe. I want to panic. It was ours before they said oh no it was just us not just us but you know.
