@debtfreedebbie: Day 245 Hi I am Debbie and I am debt free so I can use the engagement from these videos to buy food to donate. Today I want to remember the people who died in 911. Kathy Mazza was a police officer who died. I also went shopping at Costco and found some great deals for the Meals in a bag. Question: Where were you when you found out about 911? Tune in tomorrow to vote on what the next Meal in a Bag will be. #911 #kathymazza #mealinabag #budget #sales
I was in 5th grade and my teacher turned on the live footage of the news and we watched it the rest of the day. Looking back a group of 10yr olds shouldn't have been watching people die live on TV. 😬

I was in first grade. I have flashes of memories, but don’t remember very much. What I remember vividly was it being the only thing on tv. As a paramedic & first responder now, I hope we never face anything similar. Thank you for your service as a police officer! 🫶🏻🫶🏻 Costco has some of the best deals!

I had fallen asleep with the TV on. I woke up because I was having a nightmare, then saw what was on the TV was what my nightmare was about. when I saw the other plane hit, I immediately changed the channel thinking it was some horrible movie. when another channel was playing the same thing I realized that it wasn't a movie and sat up in shock and shook my husband until he woke up.

I lived in the state of NY. I was in second grade, coming back from gym class. My teacher had wheeled a tv into our classroom to watch the news because her son was on a flight that day. She didn’t know which flight, and was severely distraught. We watched the second tower get hit. Her son was on a different flight. We all got early dismissal that day and I remember my dad being very nervous- which was extremely unlike him. My parents watched the news together but wouldn’t let me watch it with them and I’m so thankful for that.

I was in third grade! They didn’t tell us anything but we could tell something was happening bc the teachers kept going out into the hall to talk. some 5th graders on the bus home told us there had been a plane crash but I don’t think they really understood it either. I watched the news when I got home.

I was a sophomore in high school, in my bathroom getting ready for school. I heard about it on the radio, then watched it on the news. I just remember being in shock, like is this really happening?? I was hours late to school, they didn’t mark anyone late. We all just walked around like zombies. Physically we were there but mentally we just kept seeing the second plane hit, and the towers falling 😭

I was in the first grade, 6 years old. Watched my friends get picked up from school one by one, didn’t know really what was happening but remember how bright and blue the sky was that day 💔

It was pretty scary, waking up to those news in Hawaii. My daughter was born on 9/11, a few years before the infamous 9/11… so it was an unsure time to do anything that day, not knowing what else was going to happen

Wow you really are a person who has spent their life helping other people. Bless you. I was getting my children ready for school on the otherside of the world when I learned what had happened on 9/11.

I was 18 and had graduated already so I was still asleep and my dad kept calling the house phone so I got up and answered it and he was freaking out. I had to go get my brother from school and go straight to my grandma's, he was afraid a war was about to start and he said we'd be the safest with her bc she lived through ww2 in Germany

Elementary school. Grade 6. We were moved to the library and shown footage of what was happening. I’m in Ontario Canada. Condolences for all the lives lost and families affected. Respect for all the fire fighters, rescue crew and all the families in Gander who took in soooo many people seeking refuge.
