Aang restored Sonams lost spirit so perhaps Pavi could restore the entire cycle so that the next Avatar can talk to all of their past lives. The next Avatar does their best to fix their predecessors biggest mistakes.

hes an even crazier thought noone has talked about. What if Pavi isn't the next Avatar after Korra? what if theyve been killing off avatar children for hundreds of years because of the cataclysmic event that Korra "caused"? in the trailer we see people saying they want to hunt and kill the avatar. and what if thats not the first time any of the havens have done it?
