They did the same thing to my wife and I at the Food Lion in Mount Airy on 52 next to Lowes Hardware. The girl stood there and watched us like we were going to steal something and when it messed up, she came over and scanned a card and replayed the video like we were thieves were in their practically three or four times a week. We buy all our groceries there. I don’t appreciate being treated like I’m some kind of criminal. When all I’m doing is coming in there giving them my business spending are hard earned money we’ve been shopping there for years. I don’t know if we’ll be back either but I appreciate you posting this video.

Walmart tried this crap with me and I raised the roof with them. It's absolutely absurd the way they were acting toward people. I don't know if it was all my doing or not, but my local Walmart simply says "Thank you & have a nice evening" when I leave now.

Why I don't do self checkout. But You did ASK HIM what happened. He was only trying to do what YOU ASKED. Perhaps say can you void this and I'll check out at another register would have solved the issue.

I refuse to spend my money at foodlion! I went to a register and an item rang up wrong. I made the cashier aware. of it. she had the nerve to out right tell me I was lying and trying to steal from them!!!!

Oh let me tell you about foodlion. It's going to be long. so actually labor day weekend 2004 I got up cleaned my house and had to go to the grocery store for food for the next week and kids lunches for school. I stopped to get gas and something to drink at the corner store in my neighborhood. I bought a powered. So I went to foodlion and in my purse was the powerade. I go get all my groceries got to check out and paid 198$ was about to leave and got stopped over the powerade in my purse i laughed saying it was bought from a gas station they scanned the powerade and it said item not food bc it wasn't there's!!! They called the police and i literally went to jail!!! In court they said I stole 198$ dollars. I lost my shit in court! I literally flipped the fk out bc what! I told the judge how in the hell would I be able to put 198$ of groceries from foodlion in my purse? To top it all off my dad worked for Coca-Cola and ive really never in my life had to buy a Coca-Cola product. The day I did BUY a powerade I went to jail over a powerade. My dad used to take and set up displays in that very same foodlion years ago and they knew us both yet they got a new GM on an ego trip. I still shop in that foodlion and that GM was fired! Now I shop there bc they are so nice to me! 🤣🤣🤣🤣 But it was an ordeal.

They should have real ppl anyhow. But sometimes it does this at our local grocery store and inlet them do whatever cause I’m not guilty. And they say sorry these machines are touchy sometimes and weather plays a roll

I would have ask for a manager. I love Food Lion and never had a problem. Walmart, lady couldn't read the receipt wanted to call cops another person could Read and let me go! Publix same thing!

I had the same experience once where they did me the same way. Made me watch the video and I didn’t do anything either but the woman said I did that I was holding an item while scanning an item cause I was grabbing a couple and scanning them but it didn’t like that I was being efficient instead one item from the cart scan bag… I was like pick a couple of things scan bag scan bag… I told her to kiss my a$$ and if she can do it better do it her dang self….
