소주 미디어 뉴스 🗞️ 📰:🤔 JUST IN: Before your start screaming AI under the comment section, mind you’ it is real. _. Iguazu Falls Is Going Absolutely Berserk - And Tourists Are Still Standing on the Bridge This is one of the most jaw-dropping sights on earth right now - and somehow people are still walking up to get a closer look. Iguazu Falls, the world's largest waterfall system straddling the border of Argentina and Brazil, has been swollen to extraordinary levels following heavy rains across the southern Brazilian state of Paraná. The Devil's Throat circuit - the most iconic viewpoint of all - has been closed for 40 days as authorities dismantle walkways and protect infrastructure before anticipated flooding hits. A Dutch tourist died on the Brazilian side recently when a boat flipped during an excursion amid the unusually high water levels. And yet the videos circulating online show tourists standing on the remaining open bridges and walkways, phones raised, staring directly into what looks like the end of the world. Brown, thundering water as far as the eye can see. Mist so thick it swallows everything within metres. The roar so loud you cannot hear the person standing next to you. Under normal conditions, Iguazu's flow runs at around 1.5 million litres per second. During recent flooding it surged to 24.2 million litres per second - more than 16 times the normal level and the second highest volume ever recorded. At those levels, the hundreds of individual waterfalls merge into one almost continuous wall of roaring brown water. It is terrifying. It is breathtaking. And some people apparently cannot resist getting as close as possible to one of the most powerful natural forces on the planet. Would you stand on that bridge? #lguazufalls #nature #argentina #brazil #wonders 아이고AIGU 🙆🏾‍♂️
