Here’s a Step-By-Step guide on how to start investing in 2026: 1️⃣ Pick an investment app the app you choose doesn’t really matter as long as it’s a reputable company I would suggest any brokerage that allows you to buy fractional shares then you could buy stocks in dollar amounts. Personally my brokerage is @Fidelity Investments 2️⃣ Set up your investment account, it’s honestly really simple if you can make a social media account you can set up an investment account, all you do is provide your personal information, some tax, information then your bank information. You then choose the type of account whether it be a taxable brokerage account, IRA, or 529 account for your child just open it and you’re in the game ! 3️⃣ Understand what you’re buying, if you’re brand new to investing I don’t think you should buy anything other than ETF’s until you can learn to do your own fundamental analysis. Individual stocks can outperform ETF’s if you pick the right ones but they rarely do 4️⃣ Once you understand what you’re it’s time to BUY SOMETHING my favorite ETF’s are: 📈FXAIX - S&P 500 (Top 500 US Companies) 💯FZROX - Total Market Fund (The Entire Stock Market) 🌎 FZILX - International Stocks (2,000 + international stocks) 🧑‍💻FTEC - Technology Stocks (Tracks mostly large technology companies) 5️⃣ Buy your first investment, it’s a simple process really 1. Pick a stock or ETF 2. Press “Buy” 3. Don’t buy Shares buy a dollar amount and enter the dollar amount you want to buy. 4. Review everything is correct 5. Confirm the purchase and you’re on your way 6️⃣ Something I like to do is automate my investments, just set it and forget it and never worry about it until I increase the amount I’m investing. Doing this keeps you honest, and consistent which is what you need to see real progress in your portfolio If you want a more in depth guide that will teach how to invest as a new or intermediate investor “The Slow Motion Investor” E-book is linked in my bio !!
