I agree that women should have financial security, but not every woman has the opportunity to earn outside the home. Some women spend years raising children, supporting their husbands, managing the household, and making sacrifices that allow the family to save and build a better life. That contribution has real value too. If a husband is the main earner, he should also make sure his wife has financial security, especially when she has sacrificed her own career and income for the family. It shouldn’t be that, at the end, the husband says, “I earned all this money,” while the wife’s years of unpaid work, saving, childcare and support are completely ignored. Building a family is a partnership, and both contributions should be valued — not just the one that comes with a salary.
