Founded in 1932 by Maria Pana-Bogiatzi, Hotel Akti was the very first hotel on the island, beginning with just six double rooms by the sea. Its story would go on to survive war, destruction and complete reconstruction, while remaining in the hands of the same family across four generations. Burnt down in 1944 during the German occupation, rebuilt from scratch after the war and transformed again over the decades, Hotel Akti still stands in its original location in Skiathos town #skiathos #HistoryTime #greece #hotels
