Dog won’t let me brush her teeth If you have a dog that absolutely refuses a toothbrush, you will probably understand this situation. I tried introducing a toothbrush as part of our dog dental routine, but every attempt turned into a small battle. The second she saw the toothbrush, she would close her mouth, turn away, and suddenly become very determined not to cooperate. Many dog owners experience the same thing. Some dogs simply dislike having their teeth brushed, especially if they are strong-willed or sensitive around their mouth. Because of that, brushing can quickly become stressful for both the dog and the owner. I started noticing some plaque build up on my dog’s teeth, particularly on the back teeth where it can be harder to see and reach. Nothing dramatic, but enough that I felt like I should try to create some kind of dog dental routine at home. The problem was that traditional brushing just wasn’t working for us. If you have searched how to clean dog teeth without brushing, you will know there are many different routines that dog owners try when their dog refuses a toothbrush. This is why I decided to try a no brushing dog teeth gel as part of our evening routine. A no brushing dog teeth gel is simply a gel product designed to be applied along the gum line without using a toothbrush. Instead of brushing, it becomes a quick step that can be added to a normal dog care routine. For dogs that dislike brushing, this type of routine may feel calmer and easier to introduce. For us, the biggest difference has been how simple the routine is. Instead of trying to brush her teeth for several minutes, I can apply the gel gently along her gum line in a few seconds.
