What we say matters… especially to someone living with CPTSD. Certain phrases may sound harmless or even encouraging, but they can leave a survivor feeling dismissed, blamed, or misunderstood. CPTSD isn’t something a person can simply “move on” from. It can affect the nervous system, relationships, self-worth, emotions, and sense of safety. You don’t need to have the perfect words.
