Social events can give you built-in context. Everyday places can work too if you are comfortable starting conversations respectfully. There is no single perfect place. The bigger mistake is spending your entire week somewhere you rarely meet new women and wondering why your dating life never changes. Put yourself in environments where you naturally encounter women you would actually want to meet. Then develop the social skills to start the conversation when the opportunity appears.
