Advanced Options. Select Startup Repair. Allow Windows to scan and repair startup issues. Step 4: Use System Restore If the issue started after an update or software change: Go to Troubleshoot > Advanced Options. Select System Restore. Choose a restore point created before the problem began. Complete the restore and reboot. Step 5: Run SFC Scan Open Troubleshoot > Advanced Options > Command Prompt. Run: sfc /scannow Wait for the scan to finish. Restart the computer. This checks for and repairs corrupted Windows system files. Step 6: Repair Boot Records If Windows still won't start: Open Command Prompt from WinRE. Run the following commands one at a time: bootrec /fixmbr bootrec /fixboot bootrec /scanos bootrec /rebuildbcd Restart the PC. Step 7: Reset This PC If repairs fail: Go to Troubleshoot. Select Reset this PC. Choose Keep my files to preserve personal data. Follow the prompts. This reinstalls Windows while keeping your documents and personal files. Step 8: Check Hardware (Advanced) If the repair loop persists after all software fixes: Disconnect unnecessary peripherals. Reseat RAM if possible. Reset BIOS/UEFI settings to default.
