@queensheebah.11: I’m not from Toro either. But I think I now understand why watching her grief has affected me this deeply. In 2020, she graced the official launch of @Holic Sanitary Pads as my guest of honor. And honestly, I couldn’t believe that she would actually come. Me, a girl who jokingly calls herself a queen , inviting a real Queen Mother and she showed up. That meant so much to me. It showed me something about the kind of human being she is beyond the title. I have carried that respect for her ever since. Maybe that’s why this hurts me. Maybe it’s because I’m a mother too. Maybe it’s both. I’ve cried seeing her break down because, before the Queen Mother, before the kingdom, before the titles and positions, I see a mother who has lost her child. A woman who has lost her husband. A mother who has lost her princess. And now she has to grieve while the whole world watches. And somehow, even in that pain, people are still debating her worth, her position, what she deserves and what she doesn’t deserve. I don’t know the politics of Toro. I don’t know what her position should be. And honestly, I don’t want to speak on things I don’t understand. I just know what I see: a woman hurting. And I wish we could sometimes see the human being before the title. Today, I see the mother before the Queen. May God hold Queen Mother Kemigisha gently through this season. May He give her strength, peace and protection🙏🏾 Some pain doesn’t need opinions. Some pain simply needs compassion. Rest in peace, King Oyo. May your legacy live forever🙏🏾
