A gp receptionist told me I had to get a pill review every time I order my prescription for it. I’d had one a few months previous. So after hours of my blood pressure being through the roof (because I had to argue with her over the phone) I did the online form (took multiple attempts of multiple attempts at getting one because I was so annoyed) which I clearly could have lied on (I didn’t). THE NEXT DAY I get a phone call saying I had the pill approved for a year. Which I had been told the day before WOULDNT HAPPEN

me at the end of last year and the beginning of this year fighting with the GP pharmacist because my 80mg propanolol went out of stock (which i usually picked up every 2 months) to them giving me 40mg 3x a day short release and at first they only gave me 18 days worth which lead to me going without propanolol for 2 weeks soon after new years and now i just order it from boots because I physically cannot handle getting my medication from the local pharmacy every 4 weeks. It caused me so much anxiety etc having to deal with it, ya know what propanolol is supposed to help with. And now I'm having to wait for my doctor to get back to me (definitely calling them) about needing to check with my adhd team of suggested meds that won't mess with my atomoxetine. I'm so done.

My GP refused to give me my prescription that my specialist recommended and wanted a second opinion. It was a waste of an appointment and I basically got sent home from the third doctor with a letter telling my GP to listen to my specialist.

I was being switched to Shared care for my ADHD back in March/April and there was a miscommunication between CMHT and GP where CMHT had not sent over 1 critical piece of information that would allow the GP to prescribe my meds. I phoned CMHT and GP several times and they both said the other was supposed to be prescribing my meds 🤦‍♀️turns out CMHT had never sent the GP the form that said I was stable on my meds! I had been on them for over a year! Eventually CMHT took responsibility and did me one more prescription whilst shared care got ironed out and put in place

Requested anti virals for shingles. Receptionist "doctor" told me I couldn't have it as I didn't have a history of having them. Had shingles 8 times and get severe coldsores so on file it says to give when requested. So I don't know what planet that receptionist was on.

My epi pen was suddenly taken off my repeat meds list. They said because I hadnt ordered one in a year. I said yes because they are still in date and I havent used one until now. They then asked do I still need it. I replied yes my severe nut and bee allergy hasnt just dissapeared randomly after 14 years. You call yourself a doctor! 🤔

I have a medication I typically renew every 5-7 weeks. did as normal, as I have for 5 years from this practice (literally since I moved here). it got denied. figured it was a mistake, ordered again. denied.... phoned the surgery (at this point I'm down to days worth of doses) and asked for the name of the Dr(s) who denied it on both occasions so I could tell the admitting Dr when I inevitably end up in hospital how and why I am there. The medication being denied? INSULIN!!!! no, I hadn't missed any review appointments, no it's not going to go away, no I didn't request it more frequently than normal. eurghhhhh

They are the absolute worst! Chronic lumbar pain and sciatica since beginning of this year, getting progressively worse worse every day. GP refuses to up any doses or change medication just tells me to take paracetamol alongside my meds when I have a flare up 🙄 they only issue me a weeks worth each time 😡 refuse repeat prescription or EPS. I ring on Fridays to request medication, as it takes 3 days to process and I run out on Tuesday evenings, they tell me it’s too soon and tell me to ring Monday. I then ring on Monday tell them when I run out and they send it over to the doctor to put through, Tuesday morning I ring the pharmacy.. lo and behold it’s not in.. chase gp and advised they will rush it through.. 2pm Tuesday go to pharmacy, guess what.. it’s not there! Call gp again get a passive aggressive receptionist telling me I didn’t order it early enough I should of called on friday, tells me I can request my repeat online, explain I did call Friday told it was too early, and it’s not a repeat you guys have refused to do it.. she makes me out to be a liar, tells me she will see what she can do, then rings me 10 minutes later to say it’s been sent🙄and yes, this happens every week, since beginning of Feb 🙄

bpd meds (antipsychotics ) refuses nelieve I have bpd cause I had go private route refused wait any longer help, get told by gp just have a bath or lose weight it will help mental health, then local mental health services saying they cannot help since i haven't harmed my self or others, basically admitted they cannot help me untill I reach breaking point, finally got diagnosis currently havung pay out of pocket for all meds since gp refuses accpt diagnosis has put offically on notes he believes I paid for the diagnosis, and doesnt believe i have mental health issues, my issues are connect to fact i am fat and refuse to accept it and accept that my issues were weight realted not mental health, not that I have gone through alot trauma since i was 7 years old that could have contributed to it mental health conditions like bpd, bipolar and schizophrenia runs in my family... 🤣🤣🤣 tried explain to him I really wanted spend over £600 on private mental health psychiatrists bare mind the first time they diagnosed me I didn't believe it so I went with a different one and company and they again diagnosed me with it ... so again no access to mental health cause I am also now considered to complex for mental health services. unless I willingly get my self sectioned which would also mean I lose my daughter cause we all onow social go after people with mental health issues🤣

This is why I don't take anything for my Fibromyalgia anymore. I'd rather have more pain than have to keep chasing medication and being accused of being a med seeker 😳

I was refused my Pregabalin for my nerve pain after a botched spinal surgery... their reason for refusal... they've now discovered that it can be harmful to a pregnancy. I had to prove to them that I have no intention of having more kids because pregnancy causes me severe discomfort so I've got the coil... since the coil still isn't 100% effective, they still refused it. I haven't had it for 2 months and have been fighting daily with my gp since.

I have a med that has a short half life, so need a dose every 4 hours, so 5 times/day. Inconvenient but it works well and has no side effects for me so I take it. Everytime I get "do you not want the max dose but twice a day?" no. I'll have side effects plus there's more than 8 hours in a day 😅 please leave me be [Tears of joy]

I can only get a 10 prescription of my Tramodol becasue they are a controlled drug but it takes up to 5 days to order it online, get sent to the pharmacy and for them ro deliver it so every 5 days I have to reorder my painkillers but Ive been told if I order to many they will stop them. The painkillers that allow me to actually move without screaming in agony

i ring up to request my prescription.... they tell me to request online... everytime i tell them i would, however they took my access to do that away. i am not allowed to request my own monthly repeat medication online at all, i have to talk to a clinician. none of my prescriptions are in sync either, which means im ringing the drs atleast once a week every fucking month i ask them to sync up my meds and everytime they don't do that... 😭 cannot fucking win 😭

Every month I have the same fight. Can’t order my repeat until I only have a weeks worth left. Takes more than a week for them to be ready after I order them.

so I had a neurology appt last month (I get them every few months, I have MS), and the neurologist, who WAS THE ONE WHO GAVE ME MY MOST OF MY MEDS BY THE WAY, suggested I go to a chronic pain clinic and get weaned off my gabapentin (he prescribed), my baclofen (he subscribed) and my tramadol (that I've been on, on and off, for 20 odd years because of endometriosis. I went to my neurophysiotherapist the next week, hadn't taken my meds before I went, could barely walk, even WITH my crutch. she looked at me, looked at my notes, and said "yeah, pain clinic isn't going to help, I'll tell your neurologist" mind you, this was the SAME neurophysio that told me all my pain was "mechanical" and to do with my age (I'm 47! cow...) not my MS, and she didn't detect any spasming the last time I was there. I WAS ON MY MEDS THAT DAY YOU SILLY BESOM! (that's why I went in sans-meds. was a horrible day, 1 hour on the bus each way, plus walking, but worth it to see her backpedal her "assessment" from the month before)

Utter tosh. email Practice Manager. once my GP told me they couldn't prescribe more than 1 months worth. I'm on asthma and ADHD meds. I did a power point of meds and why I need them and usual prescribing rules. got 6 months of HRT given and now I have 2 months per meds so I don't have this bollocks
