I actually said this to myself years back, but when it happened to me I just ate everything I said. I knew it was disgusting but instead of thinking what HE DID was disgusting, I end up thinking that I was the disgusting one. I end up degrading myself because why would he cheat on me? Was I not enough? To this day, I still think about it though I'm in a better place. Cheating is unforgivable, but you end up hating yourself more than the person who did it.

The thing is people cheating do it because they don’t get it from you and I’m not saying your at fault. But they’re insecure or something and they cheat once, you forgive them and they still have that insecurity. You think just because they cheated once they’re done then and wouldn’t do it again, they certainly will. Because first you let them do it by forgiving them, second they still have the insecurity, third they won’t change til they realize what they’ve lost. You would think they’re happy in the relationship and then go cheat and everything is better? Nope it’s just as before because if they can’t get that assurance or anything from you, a partner.
