Yes!!!!!! It started off with Jacob, then became The Children of Isreal (Descendants of Jacob), The Land (geographical), under King David and King Solomon, all in The Old Testament. In the New Testament Galatians 6:16, Paul refers to the multicultural Christian church as the "Israel of God," suggesting that faith, rather than physical DNA or geographic location, defines the people.
