Yes... But if someone is asking and you say nothing, then you are signalling availability. If you say "relaxing" or something similar, then you are signalling that its a planned nothingness

That's why I always ask "are you free later" if I want someone to join. And if they say no then it's no. I hate when people think nothing = free. Coz it's not. I'm busy doing nothing

Someone asked what I was doing after school I said “oh I’m so excited I’m not doing anything” they took that as I was joking them after school and was annoyed when I got on my buss and went home
