The worst thing is, when you actually mention it, they somehow twist it around and make you out to be the problem. Unfortunately, I find that happens a lot with friends & especially family.

Also with the gifts. I’m not expecting it to be expensive, but like really, i give my efforts to make sure what they receive is distinctive for them, but what i get in return is a generic gift hamper like soaps (that i don’t even use) or a mug. Meanwhile they are capable of gifting others something special.
