it’s a great school! it’s not as conservative as people make it seem honestly, they’re great for stem but as a non-stem major, i think oregon state was the best option for me academically! corvallis is so gorgeous too and there are plenty of things to do :)

Still a liberal school even though it like def is extremely white and like def more conservative than UO, i say that but for anything stem, env sci, or plants outdoorsy related this school is a dreamscape and it’s GORGEOUS

Great school! I’m in the forestry program and moved here from abt 2k miles away and had no issues adjusting! College life as a freshman was pretty solid. Made plenty of friends and got in on research. Are you going STEM, Business or liberal arts?

It depends on your major. OSU is known for stem, so if that’s what you want to do, I’d go. There’s so many undergraduate research opportunities too

Not just for ag science, I graduated with a design management degree in business, unique to OSU. Genuinely such a beautiful campus and most traditional college experience you’ll ever have

Going into my senior year and I love it. The campus is beautiful and I have lived all my classes. The downside is how they’ve been over enrolling the last few years and registration is terrible if you don’t have an early time slot. A lot of freshman this year have been placed in temporary housing due to the lack of dorms.

it’s a gorgeous campus, but there’s genuinely nothing to do in corvallis that’s off the campus. it gets really lonely if it’s hard for you to make friends

We have culture centers! If you happen to be of color and are worried about it be predominantly white we have many of them and a women’s one and lgbtq one people are always in there and they are little houses/areas that are very cozy

it’s fine i’m a design and innovation management major and do feel like i belong elsewhere but overall great experience. super rainy though so if you’re prone to seasonal depression i would avoid
