🇿🇦 Heritage Ep. 4 | We call this one pure, unbothered comfort food made on the braai, for the braai. And before you knock it, just trust us and try it? You'll have zero regrets. FULL RECIPE 1 packet (135g) NikNaks Beef BBQ Flavoured Maize Snack ½ tin (400g) baked beans, heated ½ tin (205g) spicy chakalaka, heated 1 cup grated cheddar cheese Serving Suggestion: Mango atchar Fresh coriander leaves 1. Using heavy duty foil, make a rectangular parcel around 30cmx25cm in size. Alternatively, use a store bought foil tray. 2. Spread the NikNaks Beef BBQ Flavoured Maize Snack over the base of the tray. Top with baked beans, chakalaka, followed by a layer of cheese. *Chef’s Tip: Heat the beans and chakalaka before layering to speed up melting the cheese on the braai. 3. Cover the tray with foil and place on a braai with low heat. Braai the loaded NikNaks for 5 minutes until the cheese has melted. Avoid braaing for too long or over hot sections as this may burn the chips. 4. Remove the tray from the braai, as well as the foil cover. Top with mango atchar and garnish with fresh coriander leaves and ENJOY!
