The southern and less populated regions - Southland, Otago, West Coast, Tasman and Marlborough - retain a relatively high proportion of the European population. It is estimated to be approximately 65-69%. The central regions are approximately in the range of 53-64%. There is already a noticeably greater ethnic diversity here. Gisborne, Bay of Plenty and Auckland are particularly notable. The Maori population plays a significant role in Gisborne, and Auckland is the largest and one of the most ethnically diverse urban centers in the country. Therefore, in the evaluation model, the indicators here are approximately 39-49%. Auckland is New Zealand's largest international and migration center. Therefore, its modern ethnic structure differs significantly from that of the small southern regions. This explains why in our model Auckland is about 39%, while Tasman is about 68%.
