Lady…back in the 70s and 80s…people used milk containers for years and it is a 1 gallon container…and because the milk containers are made out of plastic, they are safe to put gas inside of it. 1 gallon is 1 gallon…the volume doesn’t change because it’s a milk container. You can take a 1 gallon patcher, take the tear weight off of it then weight it to see how much 1 gallon of fluid ounces weight. Facts are facts…if it does not fill the container up…then it’s not 1 gallon.

For those who don’t understand: 1 gallon of any substance will always occupy the exact same amount of physical space. Because a gallon is strictly a unit of volume, it always equals 128 fluid ounces, 4 quarts, or 3.785 liters, no matter what you put inside it.

a gallon of water gas milk anything is supposed to fill up the same amount in a gallon jug they have been screwing us for years now and we just don't even know it really big companies rip off all of us for our hard earned money gas almost 5 bucks a gallon you go broke going back and forth to work if you drive 100 or more miles a day to work and back trust me my old 882500 obs chevy only get about 8 miles to the gallon it got 12 when it was new so with 298,000 miles on it i no it's getting less miles now especially with over 3,000 pounds of stuff on the back of it.

a gallon of gasoline weighs 6 lbs. where is the video of the man who pumped 1 gallon into a fuel can and the weight was 4.2 lbs? the fuel can showed 1 gallon but the scale showed it was short.
