A WOMAN WHO TRULY LOVES GOD MUST STOP THESE 4 THINGS You love God—but are you sure the way you live truly pleases Him? These four habits may be pulling you farther from God. The fourth is one many women overlook. 1️⃣ STOP USING YOUR WORDS TO HURT OTHERS. Sometimes we say, “I was just talking,” or “I was only expressing my opinion.” But criticism, harsh words, and slander can leave deep wounds in someone’s heart. Scripture says, “Death and life are in the power of the tongue.” (Proverbs 18:21, KJV) A woman who truly walks with God learns to control her tongue and use her words to bring comfort and healing, not harm. 2️⃣ STOP HIDING SIN. Some sins are hidden from everyone else: impure thoughts, compromise, or habits you are ashamed of but still refuse to release. You may think, “No one knows.” But God sees. He does not want to push you away. He wants to lead you out of bondage. Scripture says, “This is the will of God, even your sanctification.” (1 Thessalonians 4:3, KJV) Hidden sin slowly steals your peace, joy, and closeness with God. 3️⃣ STOP CHASING THE WORLD’S STANDARDS. Constantly comparing yourself, trying to become more beautiful, wealthier, or more admired. Social media keeps telling you, “You are not enough.” But your identity is not determined by how others see you. It comes from the God who created you. Do not let the world shape you; let God’s Word transform you. 4️⃣ MOST IMPORTANTLY: STOP LOOKING TO MEN OR OTHER PEOPLE FOR YOUR WORTH. Many women build their value on male attention, approval, or affection, constantly trying to please others just to prove they deserve love. But Scripture says, “Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that feareth the LORD, she shall be praised.” (Proverbs 31:30, KJV) Your worth does not come from a man. It comes from God. When a woman truly learns to fear God, dignity and wisdom begin to show in her life. My sister, this is not meant to condemn you. It is a reminder: you are precious in God’s sight.
