Most people here are missing the point. From a logical stance, If you don’t tell the eskimo about God, he will die one day and go to Heaven since he does not know about God. If you preach God’s word to a people who do not know about him, you are condemning them to live with the Sword of Damocles on their consciousness. They are forced to believe in God if they want to go to Heaven, it is a mental pressure and is inherently evil. Why would you preach God’s word to a people who does not know about him if it meant they would go to Heaven, shouldn’t a Christian leave them alone, so they can live and love and truly see the world by themselves with no pressure?

the priest is selfish, he told the ekismo about God because God will reward him for his evangelism, at the cost of ruining a mans peace from civilisation and religion. But you could also argue that it was the ekismos fault for being too curious, and questioning religion and philosophy. So they are somewhat both at fault

As much as I agree with this, it's a matter of happenstance, the Preacher just happened to meet the Eskimo at that timeline and if he did not at least introduce religion (how it is introduced is a whole other topic) The preacher would incur sin deciding not to do their duty as to spread their view of God.
