The driving is SO real. Having a grown up exchange baby with a US driver’s license who visits is the best. Not just for me, but for everybody!

The people who have that strong of an opinion against it have probably never hosted. They don't understand these kids are family and will always be welcome. All of my new kids learn to understand that also.

I love the fact that I gave had a chance to visit you again. Great for your exchange students to know they can come back once their year is over. People forget teens and kids in general view times like that differently. its another person for them to spend time with

They’re all a part of your family. Not just for a year. And meeting others is part of the experience. It’s not like you ignored your current students or your kids because she was here. People need to stop with the judgement.

I’ve loved to watch Iga with you again! ❤️You are so rich in life to have all these exchange students as family, and it is wonderful that your exchange students can connect with one another. They all share something in common, even if they have never met; you are the "second family" they have all lived with and share as a common bond. It is fantastic when they form connections with each other. It is worth its weight in gold to have someone to visit on the other side of the world if you want to travel there.

for me it’s like amazing the fact iga came back! she had to see the new people who’s part of the family, and of her family, so it’s like amazing! so all the bad thoughts about this i don’t understand,let’s just be happy of the happiness of someone ! stop being negative every time! ik ian and carol had their time of their life with iga! i follow you since so many years, i was already there when iga was your exchange student, even tho idk her, you shared a lot, and iga seems so so kind, a lovely girl, with the biggest heart on earth, so i don’t understand how you can be negative about her being back like hey?!

I love that they are learning about other countries. They wouldn't have that experience otherwise. plus, as l've heard you don't change your family life. the new exchange students get added to the family

It’s like some people must not realize that plenty of families in the world have 6-10 kids that are all loved and cared for equally. Big families exist 🤷🏼♀️

We are exactly like you except I was never able to have bio children. We have hosted for 11 years with our 14th student here now. Our students come back and visit often and our exchange students love it when they do. It’s like a sibling in a sense that they have never gotten to meet but have heard about and see pictures of around our home. The former exchange students do feel like the “big brother or sister”. It’s priceless and such an honor. I have kids all over the world and I’ve told them to come see me whenever they get the chance. 💛

I am always so honored when my students want to visit. Out of the 10 years we've hosted, we've only had 2 visit us, but when they have, it felt like we just picked up right where we left off. It's the best feeling.
