She didnt attack. She waited for the right moment to say anything. She said it calmly, nicely, softly. She used words like ”i feel” and didnt blame anyone, just expressed that something needs to be done and tried to suggest yet another way to do it, help him do it. He was the one who twisted the whole situation because he is broken and feels attacked in any and every situation.

I note your continued use of the word “we” throughout… “We need to do this, we must first do that, we have to understand so-and-so”. In my experience as a wife and mother, the overwhelming majority of mothers already figure all this shit out and then have already attempted on MULTIPLE occasions to explain these patriarchal roles and unspoken expectations to their partner/coparent/spouse. But because of the Patriarchy and its insidious reach and hold over all of us, 99% of the time the male of the species simply refuse to listen, ignore their partner and the mother of their children and continue to weaponise false incompetence because they’re not going to do what a WOMAN tells them! I think you need to acknowledge this, instead of heaping even more blame and shame and - yes - RESPONSIBILITY onto women and mother’s already heavily laden shoulders. If you truly want to help, then you should be solely addressing the men and fathers. Women don’t need another man telling them what to do.

As a woman without kids I’m so glad I never had any of this. Parents should just work together… I’m appalled that a whole load of negotiation/counselling/training is apparently required to stop dads behaving like Neanderthals.
