@olivia.cavin11: To all my moms 🤍 God’s love is not based on who you are, but on who HE is. Isn’t that beautiful?! And lately, I’ve been thinking about how important it is that our children experience that kind of unconditional love from us, too. I want my children to know: There is nothing you could ever do that would make me stop loving you. You will make mistakes. You will have hard days. You may make choices I don’t agree with. There will be times when I have to correct you, guide you, or hold you accountable—but my love for you will never be something you have to earn. Because love and correction can exist at the same time. 🤍 I never want my child to believe they have to be perfect to be loved. I want home to be the place they can come back to when they mess up. The place where they can tell the truth without wondering, “Will Mom still love me after this?” And as a mom, I’m going to mess up too. I’ll lose my patience. I’ll have days when I wish I had been more present. I’ll have moments I need to apologize for. But maybe one of the greatest things we can teach our children is this: Mistakes don’t make you unworthy of love.
