I’m over due and scared. My friend’s mom got a perforated bowel when she got a colonoscopy now I’m double scared. Plus the prep is freaking me out too.

My daughter was early 30s when she got a colonoscopy for GI issues and they found a precancerous polyp. Her dr. said it would have been cancer in a few years.

got 1st at 47 after wife hounding to go. no symptoms, just a screening supposed to at age 45 I put off. had a 19mm precancerous polyp. probably saved me. should have gone in eariler.

I have used the idea that others depend on me... my kids, wife, family and friends. Sometimes we need to do things we don't want to, to protect others. Not everything we do is about yourself. What ever motivation technique works, go have it done for others and yourself.

My colon cancer was found through routine colonoscopy. Diarrhea was the only symptom I had.

I just had my sixth colonoscopy. My family history is high. I’m older. I believe strongly in prevented medicine. For the first time I threw up the prep DURING the procedure, my Drs team was fantastic however I need to go back in 3 years and and am nervous I’ll do it again. Can I do it awake.

I was told that I had a large cancerous mass and the surgeon did a stoma immediately and after a week of imaging and colonoscopy’s they told me I didn’t have cancer and they couldn’t find any mass.

When I turned 50 my doctor said it's time. I laughed and said I would do it when I turned 60. At my next appointment I said Fine, go ahead and get it scheduled, I'll be good. I have stage 4 colorectal cancer. 😳 I still tell people to get tested - most likely they won't have this outcome.

I didn't ignore the changes in my bowel habits, but my doctor didn't them seriously and it almost killed me. I had stage 4 DLBCL with upper IG involvement.

Age 50. Diagnosed stage 3b colon cancer after similar symptoms last April. I went through 5 chemos, 28 radiation sessions, and 3 surgeries. One was 12hrs…Mt.Sinai saved my life for a second time after 2 organ transplants in 22’ also. People, get your ass in there! Literally

Back in 2022, found out I was severely anemic, through bloodwork for vaccine study. Had zero symptoms. Nothing. Did the swab test, came back positive for blood. Had a colonoscopy the next week, and found a stage 2 tumor, and some polyps. They cut the polyps, and I had surgery 6 weeks later to remove the tumor and 4 inches of my colon.

Another TikTok MD just posted about a CT scan with AI in china diagnosing colon cancer as well as colonoscopy – I didn’t read the paper – have you heard of it? Obviously you would still need the biopsy information.

got mine screening 2 year as ago. 1 small polyp, everything was fine, anx theybsaid "see you in 10 years" BUT this health anxiety always has me wondering anytime I have any bowel change. 😭

Mine ended up not being cancerous, but rhe polyp had almost closed the space as well...I had also waited and had thought the pain I was having was due to the GLP-1 I was on. Any longer and they would've had to perform surgery to remove. Don't wait!!!!!

I’m at my wits end and don’t know what to do any more. Use to have flare ups like burning poop not ever feeling done pooping, anal spasms, lots of mucus occasional blood in my stool and when I wipe. I have intense night sweatsNow I can barely eat with out throwing up my food. So now I only eat once a day even then I feel full only after a few bites. This used to last a couple hours to days to now weeks.My blood work shows elevated liver enzymes, was supposed to get a Endo and colonoscopy but had to postponed due to a NSTEMI. I don’t feel like I’m being taken serious and now I can barley get out of bed and interact with people
