@armanism_: Perhaps the saddest way to live is to go through life without ever burning for anything. To never want something deeply enough. To never chase a dream that costs you a part of yourself. To never love, search, or believe with enough intensity to be changed by it. A candle does not become light without surrendering itself to its own fire. Maybe life is not about reaching the end untouched. Maybe to truly live is to find something worth burning for... Because some people simply exist, And some people burn, and become light... Ghani Khan speaks of the candle that melts in its own fire A life that has never burned for love, a dream, art, truth, or the endless search for meaning has never truly known the intensity of being alive. As Charles Bukowski said: "Find what you love and let it kill you" Not literally But let it consume your comfort. Let it demand your time, your sleep, your fears, and the parts of you that were never meant to stay the same. A MESSAGE TO THE FANS & REGGAE LAND 2026 First and foremost, I want to sincerely apologize to all of my fans who came out to Reggae Land 2026 expecting to see Barrington Levy and the live musical experience that they know and love. I also want to extend my apologies to the entire Reggae Land team, the production staff, musicians, crew, and everyone who worked hard to make the festival happen. There were circumstances surrounding the band and the musical setup that affected the performance. In particular, changes to the musicians, including the keyboard position, created challenges because the replacement musician was not familiar enough with my established set, arrangements, and musical cues. For an artist who has performed these songs for decades, the chemistry between the vocalist and the musicians is extremely important. When those elements are changed at the last minute, it can affect the flow of the performance and ultimately the experience for everyone in the venue. That explanation is not meant as an excuse. I take responsibility for how the situation affected the fans, and I am genuinely sorry to anyone who left disappointed or felt that they did not receive the performance they came to see. To the musicians and staff who were involved, I also want to acknowledge the pressure of the situation. These things can happen in live music, but they should never take away from the respect that the audience deserves. To my fans and band members: thank you for your continued love, patience, and support. I know you came to hear the songs, sing along, and enjoy the music, and I am truly sorry that the experience was not what it should have been. Reggae music has given me a lifetime of blessings, and I never take the people who support me for granted. Much respect to the Reggae Land team, the musicians, the crew, and most importantly, the fans. I hope to see you again soon and give you the performance you deserve. Blessings and respect, Barrington Levy
