Stapleton Airport was about 7 to 8 miles northeast of Downtown Denver. Now, DIA is starting to get noise complaints from surrounding communities.

Denver outgrew Stapleton. A new airport was seriously needed. Not everyone realizes how many flights and people travel through Denver. I worked at DIA for over fourteen years, and it's very busy airport.

yes and then it was too small, and old and in the middle of the city. people complained about noise and blah blah blah. DIA was built so far out (at the time) as to not bother people. however, the dipshits still built and sold houses around it.
