but their reliability still seems to not be enough to rely on them as qaulity storage and as fast as some claim to be that is probably only on very short bursts the moment of any sign of constant usage the speed is always very slow. so he's they seem good and bad at the same time.

The video is showing 3D TLC NAND (Triple layer Cell). The first one was invented by Toshiba Semiconductor in Japan with SLC (single layer cell - 1-Bit) in 1987, then Toshiba in a joint venture with Sandisk invented MLC (2-Bits) in 2003, then Toshiba invented Vertical layer-over-layer transistor stacking which you saw in the video in 2007 which builds "skyscrapers" of memory cells directly on top of each other on same die, then in 2009, 2D TLC (3-Bits & no layers) was invented by Sandisk & M Systems, then in 2013 to 2015 3D TLC was invented by Samsung (2013) & separately by Toshiba (2015) & Sandisk (the 3D TLC that is shown in the video), then in 2017, 3D QLC (4-Bit) was invented by Toshiba. Toshiba spun off its memory division, officially rebranding itself to Kioxia in 2019. Intel & Solidigm in 2019 first demonstrated Penta Layer Cells (PLC - 5-Bits), however Intel being Intel sold its entire NAND flash memory division to SK hynix in 2020. Finally Hexa Layer Cells (HLC - 6-Bits) was invented by Kioxia in 2021. Presently no commercial volumes are happening for either PLC (5-bit) or HLC (6-bit) NAND Flash. So, the market has decided that 3D QLC (4-bit) is as far as we're going

MicroSD is not reliable. I once had a 500gb, but when it's near full capacity, it started to malfunction. I think it overheated when transferring a lot of data, thus the circuitry was damaged.
