Calling out Heinz for their baby porridge product! It serves no purpose but to take advantage of vulnerable parents who may feel overwhelmed trying to start feeding their 6 month old solids and so look to a product like this believing it must be the best thing to start their baby on as it’s been specifically designed for 6 month+ and has all the vitamins added to give their baby what they need 😔 At 6 months your baby will be getting all the nutrition they need from their breastmilk or formula milk, they don’t need this special porridge fortified with vitamins which also includes unnecessary additives! And then @heinz are charging parents 15 times the price of regular oats simply because they can and because parents are trusting them to provide the best start with solids for their baby. It’s not ok. Save yourself a tonne of money and just use regular oats for your baby porridge (blitz it up in a food processor or blender before cooking to make it very fine) with some fruit stirred through it and you’ve got yourself a beautiful baby porridge for a fraction of the price. And if you are at the weaning stage, I documented weaning my eldest son and have highlights on my page of week by week weaning him with different recipes etc if you’d like to scroll back through my highlights and have a look!
