Sheet Pan French Dip Sliders
Ingredients
* 12 slider rolls
* 1 lb thinly sliced deli roast beef
* 8 oz sliced provolone
* 1 large yellow onion, thinly sliced
* 2 tbsp butter
* ½ tsp salt
* ¼ tsp black pepper
Garlic Butter
* 3 tbsp butter, melted
* 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
* ½ tsp garlic powder
* ½ tsp onion powder
* ½ tsp dried thyme
Au Jus
* 2 cups beef broth
* 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
* ½ tsp garlic powder
* ½ tsp onion powder
* Black pepper to taste
Directions
1. Melt 2 tbsp butter in a skillet over medium-low heat. Add onions, salt and pepper. Cook slowly for 15–20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until soft and caramelized.
2. Heat oven to 375°F. Slice the slider rolls horizontally, keeping them connected. Place the bottom half on a parchment-lined sheet pan.
3. Layer with roast beef, caramelized onions and provolone. Add the top half of the rolls.
4. Mix melted butter, Worcestershire, garlic powder, onion powder and thyme. Brush generously over the rolls.
5. Bake 15–18 minutes, until the cheese is melted and the tops are golden. Loosely cover with foil if the tops brown too quickly.
6. For the au jus, combine beef broth, Worcestershire, garlic powder, onion powder and black pepper in a saucepan. Bring to a gentle simmer and cook for 5–7 minutes.
7. Slice the sliders and serve immediately with individual bowls of warm au jus for dipping.
Helpful tip: Keep the au jus on the side instead of pouring it over the sliders. That keeps those buttery tops crisp while still giving you the classic French dip.
