Nail tech here , polish needs cold to set , heat will keep it wet for long ,,, best thing to do is run a bath or have a basin of freezing water

Clip, file and buff - first coat, essence gel effect or any quick dry, then go about your day for like 30 minutes, 2 coat, and then I leave the third until I go to bed because 2 coats looks good anyway if I’m going out in the day and top coat in the morning, lasts me about 3/4 weeks staying nice
