The muscle works by gently pushing or holding while the arm stays still. Do not force it. Start safe and ask your therapist what is right for you. I believe this to be 100% true it's been 24 months since my last stroke and my affected arm is getting stronger I'm still working on pulling it up parallel with my shoulder my brain is still making those connections when I stretch my affected hand checks as if it's trying to move on its own!!! when I had my stroke I couldn't lift my arm in my hand was curled up. this therapist is telling the truth there is hope guys I've had two strokes and a traumatic brain injury
