Those old Jeep manuals are the worst clutch cause they have zero feel, but that is the way they are because they’re that double hydraulic clutch or something like that. Where i work we get those older ones all the time.

throwout bearing probably took a crap. when they sit for a while the grease gets really gunky, and the bearing itself just siezes, you probably heard it just spin itself out and completely let go. not a fun time.

I test them but getting the vehicle moving about 20mph throwing it in 4th gear and hitting the gas. If the clutch is bad it’ll slip like crazy
