Portlands food scene is amazing! Here are some recommendations! Eem, Apizza scholls, Lauretta Jean’s, Duck house, Ken’s artisan, Hat Yai, Proud Mary, Grind wit Tryz, Screen door, Gado Gado.

Cool story about Portland-when Rob Reiner (RIP) read Stand By Me by Steven King he didn’t realize it was set in Portland Maine. So the whole movie was done in Oregon and Steven had to tell him-‘Buddy, I’m from Maine’🤣

Portland has the best Farm Markets. There’s a large one on Saturday mornings and a smaller one on Wednesday. Both Downtown area. Also..great Japanese culture there.

You can find food from all over the world here. Not just African but specific regions. Not just South America but specific regions. Same with Mexican, Asian etc.

Not the food carts. You should go to Kaan while in Portland. It’s Gregory Gourdet’s restaurant- delicious food. You won’t regret it.

I highly recommend checking out the Japanese garden while in Portland! Then you can walk down the hill through the park and walk around on NW 23rd lots of cute shops and restaurants there

Come to Louisiana in the winter, it's still warm but not too hot, and our food is elite! Jambalaya is so easy to make, we do it in those turkey roasting pans for large amounts 😄
