I'd be more in favor of the DCU if they had half of the continuity that the arrowverse did and carried that into their feature films instead of just ignoring that completely cuz they built a fantastic world there the interconnected and had all kinds of things and then they just crapped on it and the movies are crap because of it so I refuse to ever watch any of their absolutely crappy movies👍

the show is based on these old Jimmy oilson comics, which just get bloody bizarre like in one Jimmy gets the power of inflation and in another he married a gorilla

The way I see it, the DCU is building up similarly to the comics, most characters are introduced in other characters films instead of being introduced in solo films, they’re also trying to step away from the gritty, realistic n militaristic style that superheroes have morphed into over the past 20 years, they’re trying to be more fun and styled more off the comics than dark and realistic if that makes sense

I almost guarantee that gorilla in the picture is just a stand in so the actor's have something to interact with and James Gunn decided to use it as an opportunity to troll the haters. it'll likely be cgi in the final series
