@armymilitaryforce: เรือบรรทุกเครื่องบิน USS Kitty Hawk (CV-63) ชั้น Kitty Hawk แห่งกองทัพเรือสหรัฐฯ แล่นฝ่าคลื่นขนาดใหญ่ท่ามกลางสภาพทะเลที่รุนแรงในมหาสมุทรแปซิฟิก เมื่อปี 2009 --- The U.S. Navy's Kitty Hawk-class aircraft carrier USS Kitty Hawk (CV-63) sails through massive waves and heavy seas in the Pacific Ocean in 2009. -- #usskittyhawk #aircraftcarrier #usnavy #usnavy #pacific
USS Enterprise,81/84,off the coast of Alaska,we had waves off the bow hitting the 09,I was the EOPO on the hangar deck.They were still launching and recovering aircraft in this weather,and moving planes to and from the flight deck at 3 in the morning,we’d slide 2 F14s out onto the elevator and pray we got them chocked down before a wave picked the elevator up and slam it 6 feet back down,fully loaded with aircraft fuel,about 60 thousand pounds each,what a rush,IYKYK

For context. The deck is 60ft above the waterline. So those are massive waves.

This happened when I was on The Ike CVN69 04-08. For some reason Capt. Cloyd LOVED taking us through this shit, and being an engineer, I got to walk to walls and fly all over the place in my machinery spaces! Loved it!

Looks like a smooth ride to me. Try those seas on an Adams class destroyer. Big difference.

USS Ranger CV61 had green water over the bow when we went through a hurricane. had an f14 break its chains and slide into catwalk.they had to use Bertha to crane it back up and chain it back down, during the storm. we buckled deck plates in the ships store and lost part of the fore catwalk on the port side. good times
