I don't feel like OP is dramatic it's great that her parents love each other but you have to look it at from her point of view hearing "we love each other more than we love you kids" it does Sound like they'd never choose their children first And hearing that constantly doesn't sound great. children like OP probably want reassurance want to know they won't be left behind so it does make sense on why she feels that way. though to others it might be dramatic it's honestly about perspective

guys, the parents are allowed to love each other more than their kids, sure, but there is no need to said it all the time directly to their faces. that DOES afect because as a kid, your parents are the primary source of your selfperception and value, a child crave to be chosen and acknowledge by them so Is normal to feel bad about your mom and dad saying to your face all the Time that you're never gonna be their priority. those feelings are valid.
