Agreed, its too intimate. My 3 year old son sees my boyfriend grab my face and kiss me so hes been trying to do it too lately, he'll randomly come up to me and grab my face and try to kiss me on the lips so i have to tell him "only on the cheek baby and you only kiss mommy, dont kiss anyone else"

I thought it was weird when my family would say “come give me a kiss” by the time I hit 3rd grade. 😭 and then some random who I hadn’t seen since before I even knew what my eyes did, decided to kiss me on the lips. I washes my lips after cause why tf are you kissing a 9 year old girl

I stop once my kids are 5. We then teach kissing on the cheek. I always thought of it as a teaching action thing. And then once age appropriate you teach consent. Parents with hsv 1 should never kiss their child on the lips tho…like ever

I kiss my babies on the lips when they’re little, like 3 and under. I tuck my lips in to avoid getting slobber on me, but I don’t see it in a weird way. And I don’t judge other parents who do. Like I said, once they start getting older it’s a no for me. No one other than the parents as well.

I don’t personally belive it’s necessary to kiss babies/children on the lips, I think it’s a cultural thing & how you were raised. I also wasn’t raised being kissed on the lips I guess that’s why I think it’s a bit weird
