@golfstronghitbombs: Full video on my YouTube channel. Back nine of my US Mid Am qualifier at @bearcreek_gc. 80+ players fighting for 3 spots to get into the Championship. Winner of the Mid Am gets an invite to the Masters Shot a solid -2 under front nine but still 2 outside the cut line. Dudes were going low so I needed to keep the pedal down and keep pushing. Problem is.. this course is extremely challenging and if you start getting too aggressive it will punish you. Thats basically what happened. Hit the lip on maybe 4 putts on my back nine and just couldn’t get them to fall. Then I started pressing and made a couple of errors… dropping me out of a potential playoff for an alternate spot. Honestly, the disappointment was setting in hard after that bogey on my 2nd to last hole. I really had to dig deep to keep my composure and finish out the round. I really felt like I was gonna make it throughout the whole round. I played well enough tee to green and hit a lot of good putts. Just one of those days where it wiggles offline last second and catches the lip instead of going in. It sure feels like failure… even though I know it’s all a learning experience. I’ll be back though. Not giving up. It’s going to happen at some point. Just gotta keep focusing on the process And try to enjoy the journey. Good and bad.
