I mean I love the way this plays out for Far Cry 6. Once your through the opening you can get on a boat and just leave. Drive towards the sunset and Dani just fucks off. Avoids the entire situation and goes to live in Florida and enjoy the beach.

Suikoden 4 did something like this, you get to a point in the game where you get trapped on a deserted island, and eventually you can escape but you can also choose to refuse to leave and just stay on the island… The game then lets you stay on the island with repeatable missions and all the npcs pictures in the dialogue now have cartoonish black and white doodles of their character pictures lol.
