@60minutes: “This is the first time I’m ever hearing this story in its entirety, and I’m so, like, incredibly grateful to you that you saved my life,” said Audrey De Leon, who was a baby on 9/11. After the World Trade Center towers were hit, Darla Stuckey saw a daycare worker struggling to carry two babies to safety. One was 9-month-old De Leon. Stuckey took De Leon in her arms and ran to safety, eventually reuniting the baby with her mother. #worldtradecenter #rescue

That lady having the worst day of her life and still not letting a stranger take one of the babies is amazing.

I’m a first time mom and I just think of how much anxiety Audrey’s mother must have had not knowing if her baby was ok or not. It’s a parent’s worst nightmare.

Much credit to this woman but also to the other woman hey. She was like you ain’t having this baby. Okay you can have the baby but I’m holding onto your arm. Credit to BOTH of them. That wasn’t the other ladies baby but she would have slowed herself and her baby down to take a second child. She wavered when she had to but she was holding on. Like, she was protecting that baby too.

I don’t think we will ever here all the stories from that day. There was about 20,000 people inside the buildings when the attack happened and so so so many more people on the outside. Every story is just as important and I hope over the next 25 years I’ll be able to hear them all. Rip to all the hero’s that day first responders and civilians, to the normal everyday people that lost their live, and so much love and healing to the families and loved ones ones that lost someone that day 🫶🏼
