With hyenas the females are on the top of hierarchy and males are all th way at the bottom females are larger to and they are more violent than the male. It’s literally just about leverage who is capable of doing such violent acts. Does not make it ok tho

“Not all men, but it’s always a man” does not logically mean that only men are dangerous, that women are incapable of violence, or that every man is dangerous. It certainly doesn’t say “it’s always a man, never a woman.” So I genuinely don’t understand the insistence that women being more wary of men is inherently misandrist. Nowhere did anyone say women shouldn’t be cautious around women too; the statement is pointing to a specific pattern women have repeatedly had to recognize for their own safety. I can be cautious around everyone and still be significantly more alert around a group of unfamiliar men than a group of unfamiliar women. That isn’t necessarily a moral judgment against every individual man,it’s a risk assessment based on physical differences, vulnerability and patterns of violence. Risk assessment doesn’t require certainty; you don’t have to know someone is dangerous before taking precautions around them. I also think there’s a disconnect because men don’t experience the world in exactly the same way women do, particularly when it comes to the everyday calculations women make about their safety. Turning that reality into a conversation about how the statement is “misandrist” feels like tone-policing and shifts the focus from why women feel the need to be cautious in the first place. Men don’t have to be monsters for women to reasonably exercise greater caution around them, and women acknowledging that reality is not automatically hatred toward men.

Mmm I agree with part of this, esp that fem violence shouldn’t be erased and ‘it’s always a man’ is literally inaccurate. But I think there’s a jump in your reasoning icl. Greater physical capacity for violence can explain someone’s ability to successfully enact violence, but it does not prove an equal underlying desire or propensity for violence. In your vid, you go from ‘men are more physically capable of violence’ to ‘if equally capable, women would be just as violent’, but the latter doesn’t necessarily follow from the former. The prison stats doesn’t prove that either bc prison populations and environments aren’t representative of the general pop. And w rape specifically, physical strength isn’t the only mechanism… coercion, intoxication, exploitation, authority etc. matter too. So I agree women can absolutely be violent/sexually abusive, but mmm I don’t think the evidence you presented shows that the sex disparity in violence is simply a consequence of male physical capacity idk

I’ve been saying not all men but always men, but working in domestic violence changed my mindset. Men experience abuse from both genders, yet they often don’t speak up because no one takes them seriously. Women tend to express their emotions and that’s how they heal. Men, on the other hand, either become abusers or suffer from severe mental illness or suicidal thoughts. It’s truly sad that so many men don’t realise their feelings matter.
